Have you heard of the gospel but never accepted Jesus as your Savior?
I’d love to tell you the good news of the gospel of Jesus, and show you the way to begin a relationship with Him!
While we were still sinners, Christ died for us! Romans 5:8 God showed His love for us by sending His Son, Jesus Christ to die for our sins. Though the wages of sin is death, the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord, Romans 6:23. Salvation is a gift–we do not earn it or deserve it, Ephesians 2:8-9, but God gives it freely to all who believe in Him, and through Jesus we have peace with God.
The Christian life is not a set of rules, but rather a relationship, and God wants us to grow deeper and deeper in our intimacy with Him by intentionally seeking Him every day, Jeremiah 29:13. Though there is no 3-step formula to Christian growth (after all, what relationship works that way?), there are spiritual disciplines that we can practice to open ourselves to God’s work in us, as He grow us in spiritual maturity. The most common ones practiced by Christians throughout history include prayer, worship, reading the Bible, and gathering with other Christians in church.
If you want to begin a relationship with God, tell Him so in a simple prayer from your heart.
Or, you can use the prayer I’ve written below to guide you:
Dear God, I realize that I’m a sinner and my sin separates me from You. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins, and that He rose again on the third day. I accept Jesus as the Savior and Lord of my life, and I believe, based on what You promised, that I am saved from my sins. Thank You for the gift of eternal life, for sending Your Spirit to live inside of me, and for welcoming me into a relationship with You. Teach me how to grow deeper with You, and I look forward to an eternity of getting to know You more. Amen.
If you’ve just prayed to receive Jesus as Your Lord and Savior, would you let me know?
I would love to celebrate with you!
And I’d like to send you a gift to help you grow deeper in your relationship with God.

OUR MISSION
God has placed LIFEChurch in this community to provide a different kind of church experience. We strive to serve families and individuals no matter your race, gender, age or place in life.
We’ve been called to LOVE and SERVE the people in our community with genuineness, transparency, and zero judgment.
You are always welcome!!
WHO WE ARE
LIFEChurch was started in 1990 as Leona Baptist Church. A group of 39 faithful-children of God began praying and saw the need for a church in the Leona Community. The church began in the Old Red School Building on FM 977 where Leona Elementary used to hold school but space was limited and the church was growing.
As LBC grew, the need for more space was evident and so the land across the street was purchased. The plans were drawn up, construction began and within a few months the present sanctuary/fellowship hall was finished and opened for worship.
During the last 27 years, there have been countless baptisms, children and youth ministry events, revivals, worship services and special events that highlight the impact that LBC has had on this community.
So, in June of 2016 LBC called its former pastor back to lead the church into the necessary steps of becoming a relevant and effective church in our community again. After a lot of prayer, and we do mean a lot, it was decided that changes needed to be made in who we are.
Fast forward to 2017. In our ever changing world, our church realized that we weren’t reaching and ministering to people as effectively as we once were. It was not that our beliefs, values or spiritual integrity had changed but that our community had changed. What used to work to reach people just didn’t have the same impact as it once did. We knew we had to do something in order to reach future generations.
Our name was changed to LIFEChurch to bring a new, fresh and creative approach in reaching people for JESUS.
- We offer different options for Bible Study – our goal is to be more intentional about relationships, discipleship and helping people get through day-to-day life while remaining unmoved in our belief that God’s Word has all the answers.
- We transitioned to LIFEWorship. This is where we can “ready” our hearts to receive what God has in store for us. This also begins the start of our dialogue with God as we communicate to Him through praise and worship. This allows the power of God to pave the way for us to receive His Word at…
- Pastor Mark uses a translation of the Bible that will help you understand and apply biblical truths to your life during our time of teaching. We want this time to strengthen your understanding of God’s Word and grow you into a deeper relationship with Him.
- You ARE welcome here no matter what! This is about a relationship with the Living God, not a religion. We are to love God and love others. It’s that simple.
- We will remain Biblically focused and driven. We believe that the Bible is God’s Word and is THE truth and has the answers for every question in life.
These are just some of the ways LIFEChurch is going to impact our community.
Please feel free to contact us anytime with questions you may have or if you would like any more info.

What can I expect?
HOW LONG IS THE SERVICE? In total, a LIFEChurch service is about 75 minutes in length. Services begin with the Worship Team leading the church in music – song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along and/or engage with Worship however you feel most comfortable. After the Worship portion of service is complete, our pastor will come out to share an encouraging and hope-filled message about Jesus.
What’s the culture like at LIFEChurch?
Sundays at LIFEChurch are exciting, casual, and relaxed.
Come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as our guest.
We’ve got a laid-back atmosphere where you can wear t-shirts, shorts, flip flops, or whatever you feel comfortable in!
What about my little ones?
Our nursery program is called SPROUTS.
The nursery is intended for children, ages newborn thru 4 years old.
In SPROUTS, you will find a place where:
- We prioritize your child’s safety
Our workers have been background checked through the Texas DPS website and are required to complete an 8-hour safety course presented by Ministry Safe (https://ministrysafe.com/)
- We believe in a clean and welcoming space.
Our nursery and its contents are cleaned after every use and checked regularly for broken toys and pieces that could cause harm.
- We PRAY
Before you ever arrive, our workers have prayed over your child and themselves as they look forward to the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Our nursery is always available at both our Sunday morning services and Wednesday evening gatherings.
What about my kids?
At LIFEKids, we believe that kids should have a blast at church every single week and we make this a priority. The other thing we make a priority is your children’s safety. You’ll want to leave yourself a little extra time to sign into our guardian program.
LIFEKids is offered at the 10am service for kids ages Kindergarten through Grade 5. Our students will typically join their parents during our Worship service and dismiss to KidsChurch afterwards.
What about my teens?
FORGED is for students 6th-12th grade. We are passionate about training up and equipping the next generation to change the world. FORGED meets every Wednesday at 5:30 pm and every first and third Sunday during both services. We also have planned retreats and mission trips all aimed at empowering students to grow in their faith.
